Dunno when it happened, but the venerable pharmacy on Huron Avenue has closed. That means Cambridge has lost its two best unintentionally funny business names.
First the city lost the Long Funeral Service.
Now it’s lacking the sign telling people “Huron Drugs.”

That reminds me of a composting/manure plant that closed down nearby: "Cock & Doodle Doo."
Honestly?
That's pretty funny! I liked Huron Drugs, too. Speaking of funny names...my boyfriend is from LA and said there was a Chinese restaurant there called Poo Ping Palace.
I assume the people eating there were the L.A. sorts who smoked Death cigarettes — the ironic crowd. And their friends in the camp crowd.
